As most of you probably know, Tony and I will be taking our kitties with us to Germany.

I have had Spunky and Ruthie since I was ten years old and can't stand the idea of leaving leaving them for a year. (I've already done that to them twice before and still feel really guilty about it.)

Suki was my 2009 Christmas present from Tony.

I've traveled to Europe several times before, but never with my "kids". This ought to be interesting.

On this page you can find pictures and stories of the kitties. I know most of you will think this is something only a TOTALLY crazy cat lady would do.... and I agree. I am a TOTALLY crazy cat lady.

The kitties got micro-chipped today for the trip!

Well, actually they had been micro-chipped before, but our stupid vet put the wrong microchips in and so we had to get new ones put in. I had told our vet at least a hundred times that the chips needed to be valid in the European Union. He put ones in that he said had worked for him when he live in the Caribbean with his dog. He just assumed because they worked there, that they worked world-wide. When he said that, I wanted to pull out a map and show him where the Caribbean is and where the European Union is to show him that they are indeed two VERY different places. Caribbean- not many laws enforced, European Union- LOTS of laws and they're ENFORCED. Duh!

At least we got our money back....only after I called and demanded it though. The new chips we got put in ended up being cheaper anyway, so I guess it wasn't all bad, but if our poor kids get anymore chips put in them, they'll be little robot kitties.
